has been brought to the archive's attention that a UK retailer is selling
products new today which bear the name "Alchemist", presumably
to take advantage of the good will afforded the Alchemist name and reputation
amongst hifi enthusiasts. It must be made clear that these products
are in no way connected with the original Alchemist Products, nor are
any of these new products designed or manufactured by any of those responsible
for the range of Alchemist hifi separates, as listed on this site.
If, as one
person has alleged, you are informed that these new products are designed
by the same people or have anything to do with the original Alchemist
Products in any way, then you are being lied to and we'd recommend you
steer clear.
We certainly
feel that the implied common "heritage" and history in the
marketing of these newer products is misleading given that they have
absolutely nothing whatsoever in common with the original Alchemist
Products designs, manufacture and none of the original design team have
anything to do with these newer products. |
