Design:
Class AB amplifier with great power - capable of delivering large
amounts of current and driving difficult speaker loads. The Star
Trek-style remote control was very disappointing. Cheap and nasty and
not befitting an amplifier of the Forseti's performance or price.The amplifier was
line-level only from the factory, however an optional plug-in MM phono
stage could be inserted onto the main PCB. The pre-amp section was
itself a plug-in board - a design which, Alchemist claimed, allowed for
future upgrades.
Another classic and a firm
favourite with many audiophiles - the Forseti integrated delivers
incredible bass energy whilst remaining tuneful. A really cohesive
soundstage, coupled with a smooth treble gives the amp a distinct sound.
Connections at the rear
included a pre-amplified output for use with a power amplifier (see
